EDUCATIONAL SERVICES

Educational Services within the Burnaby School District focus on planning for and providing improved learning opportunities for all students in the Burnaby School District. With a focus on assessment and accountability, Educational Services staff also assist schools in staffing to meet program needs, providing staff development opportunities and supporting the implementation and follow through on school and district plans. Educational Services also provides support to students who require unique Learning Support Services and student services to be successful in their learning experience. The Burnaby School District also embraces a strong commitment to Aboriginal Education, Library & Resources, and a comprehensive French Immersion program.

A dedicated group of educational professionals, including directors of instruction, district principals, program consultants, literacy helping teachers, learning technologies resource teachers and literacy resource teachers work together to deliver and support classroom educators with quality curriculum and teaching support. The district also supports school-based educators with a comprehensive district resource library centre.
