REGISTRATION CATEGORIES
Kindergarten Students
Students entering kindergarten in September register at their attendance area school. To find the school that your child is eligible to attend click here. To register your child you must contact the school in advance and schedule an appointment. Please bring the completed student information form and all other required documentation as noted in the registration procedures .
Students New to the District
Students who are new to the district register at the school in the attendance area in which they reside. To find the school that your child is eligible to attend click here. Student Transfers - Registering For Schools That Are Not In Your Attendance Area
Cross-district Transfer Applicants
Burnaby students wanting to transfer to a school that is not the school designated for their attendance area must submit a Cross-District Transfer Application 
to their desired school.
Out-of-district Applicants
Students living outside Burnaby can apply to attend a Burnaby school by submitting an Out-of-District Application and a student information form to their desired school .
Students Going into Grade 8
Current Grade 7 district students will automatically be registered for Grade 8 at the secondary school within the designated attendance area where the student resides. Current Grade 7 students who do not reside in the attendance area for the secondary school they wish to attend must submit a Cross-district or Out-of-district Transfer Application in order to be considered for admission to that secondary school.
International Students
Students who are not Canadian citizens or permanent residents are classified as international students. Their admission into the district's International Education Program is determined by the school district's established International Student Admission Regulations and Procedures.
