This site will provide students, parents, and employers with current information on the wide range of opportunities available through Career Programs in Burnaby secondary schools.

Career Programs are open to students in Grades 11 & 12 and provide students with the opportunity to:

  • develop job seeking skills (application process, interview skills, resume writing, etc.)
  • experience the world of work in a variety of careers while still in high school
  • develop and refine employability skills
  • link course curriculum learned in high school to the world of work
  • gain post secondary credits (program specific where applicable)
  • develop self-confidence and self-esteem
  • complete the 30 hours of work experience graduation requirement
