Living Arrangements

	Students are to reside in Burnaby or along its borders;
	Students are to reside with an adult 25 years of age or older; and
	Elementary students are to reside with a parent

Homestay

Homestay provides an excellent opportunity for international students to develop their English language skills and genuinely experience life in Canada.

Our international students have the option of being placed with a homestay family near their appointed school. Students live with a Canadian family, have their own bedroom, enjoy three meals a day, and learn about Canadian lifestyle through interaction with their family.

While the school district does not operate a homestay program, students who require homestay are referred to Langara College Homestay Placement Services. Langara coordinates this service and carefully selects families who provide a safe and caring home environment. Families are chosen because they are interested in other cultures, are willing to involve students in their family activities, and are English speaking.
